    Perhaps a dumb question, but I'm guessing that these ATM's that run on Windows can also be secured with AV and HIPS?

    Sure they can, but it is dumb thinking, that banks would spend a single cent, if they do not have too. It is cheaper to write a check time to time, rather than to pay for security, maintenance.

    Cool, thanks for the link, just what I thought. I'm guessing that when attacks start to rise, they will sell quite a few of this ATM Security software.

    How about fake usb receptacle inside the atm, hooked up to mains electricity.
    Oh dear, did that big puff of smoke used to be your laptop? :shifty: So sorry...
