    This is a question about a 1st Install of TI.

    I have been advised by Acronis Support not to install TI from the boxed version CD but to do a clean install directly from the website.

    To download the file I login to My Account > Registered Products. This window gives me 2 options.

    * Get Update #3633 Filename : /trueimage9.0.3633_s_en.exe

    * Download installation file Filename : trueimage9.0_s_en.exe

    Which is the correct file to download for the initial install?

    I don't see that but anyway the first one, trueimage9.0.3633_s_en.exe
    is the one you want.

    Tks seekforever for your advice.

    Are you saying that the "update" file is in fact the complete product including the installation, drivers and setup utilities?

    So even if I have never had TI installed on my machine, everything that is required will be included in the "update" file?

    In other words the "update" file is not an "update" as such but a complete rebuild of the product?

    Is this the normal way in which Acronis deliver updates?

    Yes, the update file is a complete installation file and it is the way that they are delivered.

    This doesn't apply to your case but:
    A caution though, is if you bought an upgrade license to get a lower price because you already owned an earlier version like TI 8 then you are required to provide both the TI 8 license number and the TI 9 upgrade license number to do an install without the previous version installed. So be sure to keep all your license numbers.
