Firms must protect against malicious ads

    Perhaps the sites that utilize the ad networks ought to receive some punishment as well, at least in some cases. For those sites know... or should know... that they are the one's who create the code that causes user's to be exposed to the privacy/security threats associated with such ad networks. IANAL, but I suspect that contractors wouldn't get off scot-free if through their parts or service selection they exposed customers to something that had been shown, over very many years, to be defect prone and some kind of hazard.
