    TI8 build 937. Should the full rescue boot CD see a Firewire connected hard disk? My external disk is not seen by the rescue cd if the firewire interface is used but works fine on USB. Does the rescue cd have Firewire drivers?

    Hello hemm,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    First of all, please try the "acpi=off noapic" workaround as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    If that does not help then please collect the following information:

    - Create Linux system information (sysinfo.txt) as it is described in Acronis Help Post;

    - Create Acronis Report as it is described in Acronis Help Post;

    Please also do the following:

    - Run Acronis Report Utility once more and and select the "Create Bootable Floppy" option;
    - Insert a blank floppy disk in the A: drive and proceed
    with creation of the bootable floppy;
    - Boot the computer from this diskette and wait for
    report creation process to finish;
    - Compress the report file from the floppy disk with ZIP;

    Please rename the report created from under Windows to report_win.txt and report created using the bootable floppy to report_floppy.txt.

    Please keep your external hard drive connected via the Firewire connection while trying the suggested workaround and creating the report and Linux system information files.

    Send all the collected files to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.
