    Hello,

when I had used dial-up connection, the Firewall's log was filled with events ..

But now, I'm using DSL connection (behind router) , and the Firewall's log is completely empty ! :

That's completely normal. The router is now blocking traffic instead of the firewall.

Does that say I don't need for fw, and eav is sufficient?

I have noticed the same, but feel that a firewall is still necessary to alert of any outgoing issues in case something slips through the net. Although you are probably safe incoming, its best to leave things as they are rather than take a chance.
