Firewall 2004

Hello,

For those running ICF or WF (firewall in WinXPS2) , a firewall filtering only out traffic by applications. (but not by ports)

What the firewall experts think about this firewall?
It is ideal to the newbies?

 

I just tested it a few minutes 2 weeks ago. Simple and easy but no possibility of filtering by port. I don't think it can prevent maskerading.

I would say it's a step for newbies to understand how a FW works before installing a more sophisticate one
