Not a matter of urgency, just curious ;)

Does/will PSOL protect against these ?

    1 - Fully ?

    2 - Partially ?

    If 2 how ?

    TIA

Unfortunately these types of attacks require a lower level integration with the communication itself. Only some websites can actually support them but the correct add-on links are referenced in the thread. SafeOnline doesn't try to protect these because it would largely break browsing compatibility (and users should hopefully know that when they're on a public wireless connection, there isn't much of anything that can fully protect them :)).

    @ PrevxHelp

Re public wireless connection = Pity !

Apparently Firesheep can be used on non wireless connection too  so does the same apply with PSOL here too ?

Yes - there is nothing that software locally can do to prevent this from happening unless there is an HTTPS website available. For example, Facebook has an HTTPS domain but people very rarely use it. The issue is more fundamental in the internet itself - an HTTP domain contains no encryption and can therefore be snooped over.
