    Here is Firefox 1.0.2 build optimized for speed and stability. This build uses Jairo Boudewyn's icons. This build includes the memory leak fix that was checked in trunk but not in aviary. This Firefox build should use much less memory than the official 1.0.2. All builds include MSVC 7.1 dll's.

    This build is for all processors:

    * optimization options: -O2 -GLT7
    * mmoy's P2Y patches
    * MMX, SSE, SSE2
    * amd and sse optimized mem* routines

    Well, worth the download, it simply flies when compared to the Official 1.0.2 release

    found this not sure if worth it MD

  3. Hi Guys

    Is any one of these two versions able to function well alongside JRA 1.5-02 (latest JRE release) ? Moox 101 did not, as launching the JRE to load an applet would take literally forever (as the applet would never get to run) ?

    This unability of FFox to use JRE is bugging me and has sent me back to Mozilla 175 and Opera 8B3(which is, by the way, an incredible browser !)

    Rgds

    Any thing that can be done to minimize FF's memory requirements? This is the only problem that I face with this great browser.

    1.03 is currently a beta -- final release will probably be actually designated 1.1, since that's on Mozilla's "official" release schedule. Actually 1.1 was supposed to arrive in March, but I imagine they're trying to get the problems with 1.0x cleaned up in the process.
