Firefox vs Chrome: backup/sync

    I currently use Chrome, but I am thinking to switch to FF.
    Chrome is very handy when it comes to backing-up and syncing boomarks/Extensions/Settings, etc.
    I know FF has a sync option, but can it sync the whole as hassle-free as Chrome?
    What about safety?
