    firefox is open source which makes it relatively un-impossible not to know where the flaws are located in firefox, but again since it's opensource the patches will arive quicker before exp-loitx are really widespread. and they shell out $500 bucks to people who are finding exploits and telling the about it..
    thats my opinion.

    This whole spyware is coming for firefox is a mantra that has being repeated a lot of times.

    In fact, if you read carefully the url you link to was an article written in Feb 2005 (last year!) predicting spyware coming to firefox in 2005!

    From the article

    So much for that prediction last year...

    That said, firefox users are not bulletproof even now, as stated here

    Of course the article left out the rather obvious Java factor and the lesser route of firefox extensions which have being targeted already on a small scale even before the article was written in feb 2005.
