Crashes, rarely, stalls, good grief yes. The thing will just stop responding for no reason and won't even attempt to TRY to respond again until I've clicked somewhere on the screen. I've disabled add-ons, totally un-installed and re-installed Firefox, not even leaving one entry behind, and it still does it. Ever since version 2 came out this browser has gotten increasingly unstable, in my own opinion.

But beyond my own ranting about the darn thing, have you tried to re-create a new profile or maybe even tried re-installing the program?

I had recently crashes when downloading files or with certain sites which are using flash. For me, an update of all the Adobe/Macromedia flash and shockwave stuff cured it.

I'm running FF 2.0.0.13 without problems. Is it 2.0.0.14 that crashes ?

I have 2.0.0.14 installed with no problems at all. It sounds as if he has a compatability problem with something he has installed or else a corrupted install of Firefox. Probably be worth uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling to see if that might correct the problem.

I am using both FF and Opera and one thing I noticed that I can hardly be bothered to make special back-ups prior to updating to new versions when they come out. Never have any issues with these and can't remember if I ever had a crash.

2.0.0.14 + multiple extensions on 4 machines. 0 crashes and 0 stalls. Gotta believe it is as bigc73542 said. Sounds like a conflict with another program.

Happened to me a few months ago turned out my cache got corrupted somehow, so try clearing your cache.

    OK guys,
I classified this Firefox crash as a personal incident (jfd #15), not as a general incident. :)
