    Thanks for posting that Pinga. Firefox Health Report is the new name for what used to be called Metrics Data Ping. Here is some background information:

    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=718066

    https://wiki.mozilla.org/Talk:MetricsDataPing

    https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/mozilla.dev.planning/6q4kvRTAcow

    https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mozilla.dev.platform/rOO1HGpAb9Q/discussion

    Per https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=707970 it appeared that the means of disabling this would be via:

    user_pref("toolkit.metrics.ping.enabled", false);
    user_pref("toolkit.metrics.ping.server", "http://localhost");

    Some things may have changed. Once the patches are applied those interested can take a look around.

    Keep in mind this is going to be an opt-out feature, so by the time it goes final you're not going to need to fiddle with the config just to opt out. There will be an obvious option or even a popup on install.
