Hi, maybe this will come in handy to someone else too. After updating Firefox to v110.0, it's startup took way longer than before when running sandboxed. I fixed it by disabling the Firefox GPU sandboxing feature which is enabled in v110.0 by going to abuout:config and setting security.sandbox.gpu.level from 1 to 0.
I have an old discrete gpu and was concerned about this setting interacting with Sandboxie but I tried it with the values set to "1"--gpu sandbox enabled and "0"--disabled in Firefox about:support. With it set on "1" (enabled) it was maybe the better part of a second later to open? So this sandbox feature doesn't really affect everyone, it seems. Thank goodness! To change the value, you have to go into about:config and you can type in "gpu"--the sandbox setting is near the bottom of the list. Here, I keep it enabled until something blows.
disabling this feature lowers your security, weather its used or not. and yes, firefox starts here within same times as before. maybe another update is the culprit.
Firefox GPU sandboxing setting is turned on by default with Firefox 110 upgrade and the setting does not currently work with Sandboxie. If this setting is enabled when Firefox is sandboxed, it falls back to use of WebRender (Software D3D11). Firefox 108.0 Nightly fallback to WebRender (Software D3D11) when it download and run in sandbox
please try build 1.8.0 once its out it has improvements for browser compatibility which may help also here.
