When Firefox is not sandboxed, I can drag the "padlock" icon from the address bar to my desktop and a link is created. This doesn't work for me when FF is sandboxed, even when I created a new test box with no isolation (green). Anyone got a solution please.
I'm going to take a guess on how to do this. Press the CTRL+S keys and select Desktop as the destination to save the web site. I'm in a red box so I would have to create a path in the 'Resource Access' tab to the Desktop plus add it to 'File Options>File Recovery' as the destination. I haven't tried it because I would have to drop out of the red box setup I have and add/remove paths/destination to test it. But I think that would work. Like I said, I'm just guessing on how to accomplish this.
Hi Henry. Right click the Desktop, Click New, Click Create Shortcut. Use path below to create shortcut. Change the name of Sandbox and the webpage to the ones you want the sandboxed link for. Works in Classic: "C:\Program Files\Sandboxie\Start.exe" /box:All "C:\Program Files \Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" https://www.wilderssecurity.com Bo
Thanks Bo. There are a number of workarounds including, for Firefox at least, an addon, but *so* much easier just to drag the padlock to the desktop.
