win7(64bit), sandboxie5.20, voodooshield3.59, norton ns 22.11, unchecky1.1, ff56.0.1(64bit) w/ UBO 1.13.8, flashplayer 27.0.0.159 set as ask to activate. i've visited a porn site(madthumbs) for years with no issues. the safe browsing ver4 add-on appeared in extensions yesterday. now when i go to this site, i can navigate the site no problem. but once i click a clip to view, it closes the session and takes me back to my desktop. this site requires flashplayer so i always enable it before i go there. i don't know if it is because of flashplayer or ff saying site is unsafe. anyone else seeing this. thanks

I can´t replicate this - OK in my case, FF 56.0. It asks for Flash Player to be activated.

i unticked the 2 settings in privacy and security per ortho_fan and it got rid of the extension. but ff still will not allow viewing of the clip.i updated UBO to 1.14.14. as before, click to view-closes session and returns to my desktop. I'm not liking this. thanks for your help. my win10 machine, ff56.0.1(64bit) does not have this extension(i unticked the 2 settings) and vids play as they should.

i think this is related to adobe flashplayer. went to Berry college eaglecam, closed an sent back to desktop. yahoo homepage any of articles with video using flashplayer(look for entertainment) closes and sent back to desktop. i'm assuming in ff57 any site using flashplayer will not work. all of these sites work with chrome. thanks

    you assume wrong.

tried firefox safe-mode? tried a new profile? tried profile reset?
if none of that would help its your system or external injected extension, norton is always a bad candidate to **** up firefox.

if your chrome is same configured and uses same extensions as firefox then you might be able to compare both.
in any other case you (that includes other software) had messed up something with firefox.

from my view flash is futile, its no longer present here for firefox, uninstalled.
glad that chromium dont contain crappy flash.

sorry if that will be an expected answer but i can link you a lot of home made issues where firefox was accused first for nothing.

glad that firefox 57 cant be screwed this way like before - extensions are not allowed to do this. would solve a lot of issues for users.

tried safe mode, reset, and 2 new profiles, nothing works, pbs.org requires adobe flashplayer. 1. firfox-flashplayer(always activate)-pbs-great performances....video plays great. 2. sandboxie-firefox-flashplayer(aa)-pbs-great performances....as soon as i click the play arrow, it closes and returns me to desktop. does this in all 3 profiles. sandboxie, firefox, html5 videos play great. maybe something in last flashplayer update doesn"t agree with sandboxie. thanks all.i uninstalled/reinstalled sandboxie norton toolbar is always disabled

you should uninstall the norton crap complete.
i use three different windows systems with sandboxie and several firefox versions - nothing.
either norton or your system is damaged -> image or new from scratch.
