    Hi Guys,

As some of you probably know... One of Firefox 3's new features is that After it downloads a file, It uses your AV program of your PC to scan the file automatically before you open it.

Does NOD32 have this compatibility to do this with FF 3? Do all AV's Do?

    Just checking!

    Cheers,
    3xist.

My 2 cents - Since FF3 is still in beta, what you're asking is still an unknown since I'm sure NOD hasn't been presented with the option yet. o_O

NOD32's realtime-scanner will automatically scan the downloaded file anyway. I don't see a reason to use that feature in Firefox 3.0 or a reason why NOD32 should be compatible with it. :)

    paste these in firefox v3
    for EAV
    "C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\ecls.exe" --log-file=log.txt --action=clean
    for ESS
    "C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security\ecls.exe" --logfile=log.txt --action=clean

    Agree !

I real good AV have to scan a file downloading. If some AV dont, move to another one !! This FF v3 "new features" is useless in my opinion !

As long as the antivirus software has a realtime-scanner it's useless... I guess there are some users who don't have a realtime-scanner and need this feature.

Thanks for your replies! It really is useless :) Especially with NOD32!
