Hello, I often make home movies of my family and I for birthdays and holidays and I would like to find a very nice video editing program or software. I am willing to buy the program or software so if its not freeware, it's fine :).. I'd love to know about it.

I found Nero 7 Ultra Edition and it sounds like it would be a great all-in-one solution for video editing and a little more.

Is this a good solution or is there a better program out there?

    Thanks :),

I have used something called "video edit magic" with some success.
I found it easy to use and it had all features I needed.
You can try it free for a 30-days period.
Use google and search for "video edit magic".

    Regards /Don

    Hello,
I might sound like some granny, but VirtualDub is fine.
    Open-source and free.

Try adobe's programs. Adobe audition for sound, and adobe encore for video.

You will really need two programs. One for cutting, editing and joining your clips and one for authoring. That is putting your clips in order and adding menus . I found the best program for editing, after trying many is VideoRedo plus. others wear by Womble. Both are available for 30 day trials.
The best program I found for authoring is Sony DVD architect.
