Hi there, I wonder if someone can help me? (I have been referred to you by another helpful internet user.)

I have had a nasty experience with a dialler called ‘1 on 1’ or ‘xxxserver’, I’m sure that you have heard of them by now!!!

So far I have removed files on the computer such as sysdaemg.exe, uk3.exe, uk5.exe, uk7.exe, sysinf.exe and 1on1.exe.

I was instructed to search for newly created files that go by the name of lsass.exe and svchost.exe. I think I may have found new versions of svchost.exe on the system. I was also instructed not to delete it until showing you my log file from hijackthis. This is detailed below:

    Hisjc36,

This is the false version of svchost: C:\WINDOWS\svchost.exe you will want to delete.

NOTE: this is the real one: C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe so leave that one alone.

You will have to boot into safe mode to delete it.

    Regards,

    Pieter
