file, location or format ist not valid

hello acronis forum
for testing i installed acronis true image server for windows on a xp prof client. i created a boot cd and tried to create an image to a shared folder that is hosted by a server in a w2k3 domain. whenever i try to specify the target folder \\server\share\mybackkup.tib i get an error:

the file name, location or format "\\server\share\mybackup.tib" is not valid. please type the file name or location in the correct format.

the shared folder is open for everyone and i am authenticated with domain-administrator rights. i already changed the nic. no luck. any ideas ?

I think that by having the file name in the path is why you get the error. Make a folder on the server with whatever name you want to store the backup in, let's say "mybackup" so the path should be:

\\server\share\mybackup

and see if that works.
