FDM - Connection with the server was lost

    I installed Freedom Download Manager yesterday. Tried a few test downloads
    with different servers. The downloads never start. Not sure why I'm seeing
    this error message.

    "Connection with the server was lost"

    It should say something like "Cannot connect to the server."

    If this is a known problem with a solution please provide the info.

    I registered with FDM forum shortly after I tried those test downloads.
    It's been about 24 hours and I have not received the usual confirmation
    e-mail. I can't post as a member until that message arrives in my inbox.

    I did perform a Google search. Like any popular app, there were a list of
    problems and a few solutions. Didn't find anything exactly like the problem
    I'm having.

    have you tried another (free) DLM with same download?
