I have TIH. Is FD still required? Are they the same thing? Which is better?

I think it would be a good idea for you to go back through this forum, and read posts about FDISR from the more knowledgable users here. It will become apparent to you that the two programs are in no way similar, and where as TI has many competitors, FDISR in its Classic form (if you are lucky enough to have it) is quite unique.

As kennyboy stated, while they are both back up programs, they are not the same thing and they also use different technologies. As to the question, Which is better?, there is no answer to that since they are different: each does its own thing better since the other cannot do it at all. Many of us here, maybe even the majority, use FD with a mirror image program such as True Image or similar.
