Can anyone shed some light on this screen shot. I thought when you purchase software and within 1 year of the date you purchased you are supposed to be able to get it with out being charged for the upgrade.

Do they want you to keep paying this fee every year on top of what you payed for the software.

Example: I purchased Kav Suite 6 months ago and when the new Suite comes out I'm entitled to the upgrade because it fell within my 1 year of purchase.

I for one didn't purchase this option, but I have recieved the upgrades, and whenever I've called tech support they have been most helpful to me.

So I have no need to worry if I don't purchase this?

This threw me for a loop!

Thanks Ronjor for the edit, I thought it was awfully large.

My experience has been the same as Peter2150's. My advice though is that if you have the money, buy it. If for no other reason then to support the developer [developers this good are rare]. I would buy it, if I could do it over again and if I were not a broke-ass law school student. That would cost me a week's worth of macaroni & cheese.:'(
