My main hard drive is NTFS, and my external is FAT 32. If I use Acronis for backup, should I make both systems the same? What is the difference between these two file sysyems? FAT 32 makes much faster backups than NTFS, but will Acronis work with two different systems, if I have to restore the main drive?

    Thanks

No need to make them the same. NTFS is a more sophisticated file system that allows for user permissions and more repair/recovery features. IT will work with both regardless of which partiton/drive you are restoring. When you restore your NTFS main drive from an image stored on a FAT32 drive, the restored main drive will still be NTFS.
