FarStone TotalRecovery™ Pro 7 and Roxio BackOnTrack 3 Homepage doesn't have a link to download a trial version. How can they expect to get any reviews from User.

Has anyone been successful downloading a trial version of TotalRecovery or Roxio BackOnTrack 3.

Thanks for the links but i got it downloaded from another link.
Took me 5 hrs: cause i am on a narrow band.
Can't say much about TotalRecoveryPro now, yet to test it.

Roxio link doesn't have a trial link.:(

Do you mean that this link does not work, or that it won't install/start/work without the input of a valid license?
Just curious to know before to go download and check...

I meant the link to Roxio doesn't work....Is this the direct link.
    Code:
    -ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp47001-47500/sp47174.exe-
The second link takes straight to the home page,,,,,that's all.

FarStone TotalRecovery™ Pro 7 being, 233 MB backup program it feel lot less bloated compared to Acronis.

Are there any opinions on this software?
It looks like it can create backup images as well as take snapshots.

    Thanks.

We all want reliable software and there's no software where reliablility is more important than backup-restore applications. In that regard I'm sorry to say that I can't trust Farstone's software.

In its early development this Farstone entry was named RestoreIT. Then they added a few more features and renamed it DriveClone. Now it has resurfaced as TotalRecovery. Why does Farstone keep changing the product's name? ...could it be an attempt to escape the reputation of its predecessor?

If you're looking for an ISR app then Rollback Rx has gone through its 'growing pains' and has evolved into a solid product that is fully supported.

As far as reliable disk-imaging products go, there are several to choose from including my favorite, Drive Snapshot. Other favorites of Wilders members include Image For DOS/Windows, Macrium Reflect and ShadowProtect.

To sum up my feelings, why gamble on this product when there are many more proven apps out there?
