    Family

I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
"Oh excuse me please" was my reply.

He said, "Please excuse me too,
I wasn't watching out for you."

We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way as we said good-bye.

But at home a different story is told,
How we treat our loved ones, young and old.

Later that day, cooking the evening meal,
My son stood beside me very still.

When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
"Move out of the way," I said with a frown.

He walked away, his little heart broken,
    I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.

    While I lay in bed,
God's still small voice came to me and said,

    "While dealing with a stranger,
    common courtesy you use,
but with family you love, you seem to abuse.

Go and look on the kitchen floor.
you'll find some flowers there by the door.

Those are the flowers he brought for you,
he picked them himself, pink, yellow and blue.

He stood very quiet not to spoil the surprise,
you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."

By this time, I felt very small,
And now my tears began to fall.

I quietly went and knelt by his bed,
"Wake up, little one, wake up," I said.

Are these the flowers you picked for me?"
He smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree.

I picked 'em because they're pretty like you.
I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue.

I said, "Son, I Love You Too,
And I do like the flowers, especially the blue."

    FAMILY
Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than into our own family, an unwise investment indeed, Don't you think?

So what is behind the story?

Do you know what FAMILY means?

    FAMILY = (F)ather (A)nd (M)other (I) (L)ove (Y)ou

Bill wakes up at home with a huge hangover. He forces himself to open his eyes. The first thing he sees is a couple of aspirin and a glass of water on the side table. He sits down and sees his clothing in front of him, clean and pressed. Bill looks around the room and sees it is in perfect order, spotless clean; so is the rest of the house. He takes the two aspirin and notices a note on the table that reads, "Honey, breakfast is on the stove, I left early to go shopping. Love You!"

He goes to the kitchen and sure enough there sits a hot breakfast and the morning newspaper. His son is also at the table eating. Bill asks, "Son, what happened last night?"

His son answers, "Well, you came home after 3 am, drunk and delirious. Broke some furniture, puked in the hallway, and gave yourself a black eye when you stumbled into the door."

Confused, Marty asks, "So, why is everything in order and so clean, and breakfast on the table waiting for me?"

His son replies, "Oh, that! Mom dragged you to the bedroom, and when she tried to take your pants off, you said, "Lady, leave me alone, I'm married!"

    A self-induced hangover - $100.00
    Broken furniture - $200.00
Breakfast - $10.00 Saying the right thing - PRICELESS

    Family is a place where
    we find love and care
    Family is a place where
    we have persons near

    problems come and problems go
we need a shoulder to cry
may it be man or woman
we all spend times that are dry

    Home is where we
can be like what we are
in other places we try to adjust
from ourself we run away far

    we complain and show anger
to those we love and care
    we have problems and sorrows
they are the one who share

    Let us not forget ourself
and our family, our near ones
maybe a small talk or a little hug
a kiss on forehead or a rain dance

    we show courtesy to stragers
why dont we get infected by Family Syndrome ?
    Let us not forget ever
we are needed by OUR home

    :) Love ya'll a lot
