I have been thinking that i am on a proxy or worse so i tested at I got my ip address and below that i got a red sentence saying that "suspected proxy server or network sharing device"...
when i click details.. PROXY server detected and my WIMIA test is true...

I have tried unplugging cable over night to reset....this has not worked....probably should be more mindful of expiration date/time and unplug accordingly......any suggestions would be appreciated.

It could be that the "network sharing device" is your NAT router. There are a couple things you could try, but it would be helpful to know what kind if connection you are using. Are you using DSL, cable, satellite, or dial-up?

Is your IP address in a private IP address space?

    Private IP ranges: – – –

If so, then you are probably using a NAT router. If not, then you are probably getting your IP address from your ISP.

If you are using a router, then connect to the router and see what IP address it is getting from your ISP. Otherwise, get your IP address and do the following:

Go to and do a trace route to your router's IP address or your IP address (private IP addresses in the range above will not work). If the route back seems like it is going back to your ISP, then you are fine.

I had a similar problem once years ago where an online service was blocking me because they claimed that I was using a proxy server. I do not remember the details, but as it turned out it was my ISP's router configuration that needed correcting. They changed the configuration and I could continue to use the service. Sadly, this was a few years ago and I forgot the details.
