Facebook caught asking users for the passwords for their email accounts

    This used to be pretty common. So they could scan address books. Both Facebook and LinkedIn did it, as I recall.

    It is good practice to provide different, not used on any other site e-mail address for Facebook anyway. This way it have one information less about you. If you allow to scan that e-mail address it contains only e-mails sent by Facebook.
