f-Secure suite 2007 on a dual boot PC?!

Hi guys,

I tried to install F-Secure Internet Security 2007 last night on a dual booting box (dual boots via Grub into either Linux or XP). Install went fine but booting into Windows only got as far as the Choose User screen - stayed there for a second or two, and then just re-booted - time after time

Eventually I got into safe mode and removed F-secure - and all was fine again after I reinstalled Avira.

Question: from your experience with these things did the Grub > 2 o/s set-up really have anything to do with this problem? A not very convincing support call to f-secure suggested that that was the root cause...
