Why not? Botnets are illegal after all.

If there was some way to guarantee that they'd go no farther than the dismantling of the botnet, I'd agree. That said, it never works that way. It's the same repeating pattern they've handed people for years. It starts with something no one could argue against, like a botnet. Once the precedent is set, it expands into other areas, which will start with the usual items, terror suspects, child porn distributors, etc, until it becomes the norm for any suspected crime. It's just about automatic now that they seize computers no matter what the crime, not for evidence related to that crime, but for the purpose of digging up any dirt they can. Give them an inch, they'll always take a mile. For that reason alone, I oppose it.

Yes, absolutely, they're usually created for nefarious purposes. I don't swallow all this New World Order nonsense. The conspiracy theorists can all go & live in the outback surrounded by minefields & wave their Tommy Guns around. o_O

Meanwhile back on planet reality ...

When the ~ Snipped as per TOS ~ hits the fan Dave, I'll help you get around my field, offer you some tea and teach you the finer points of accuracy at 850rpm ;)

P.S, yes, they should kill the botnets. Somebody has to.
