new version is released.
Here : http://www.f-prot.com/download/home_user/
but is it for vista?
what is improved in this new version?
it's bad they dont show what they changed or added, they just put that a new version is released!
"Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 2008 Server are now fully supported."
thanks, I might give it a try tonight than, thanks again...
My good Inspector.
My AV comes up with this, when I visit your Personal AntiVirus & Security Weblog
Virus found while downloading Web content.
That domain still exists? I canceled that months back. Let me see if i still have access.
installed the trial version.
the "close" option on the right click menu of the tray icon does this shut off the realtime protection or just hide the icon?
i clicked on it by accident so i lanched f-prot from program files and the tray icon option was still ticked in options but the tray icon didnt reappear until i logged off and back on.
I visited it some weeks ago and it was alive (the last entry was on August 2007 IIRC)
I could still access it. I took the main entry from the weblog down and contacted the hosting company. That should do the trick.
Unfortunately, abandoned blogs are very common and the hosting providers don't take the necessary steps to close them ASAP, leaving visitors to the risk of infection.
little confused here, the first link posted by solaris show no mention of vista dated april 23 08 the following links do.so I assume it is visa ready.
Yes, you can buy it with your credit card
My humble attempt at making a joke
Nope, it ain't
The changelog says otherwise.
true but it doesnt seem to work to well on vista.
the tray icon seems to disapear alot and even if i opened the gui it said protection is active but it wasnt.
maybe i had a bad install i dono i havw restored an image now and may make a image tomorrow and try again. last time i tryed the beta for vista it worked fine so guessing bad install
Thanks for the heads up, i might give it a run later and see how it performs
I'd rather trust the changelog. They may just not have updated the website.
I'm a fan of F-prot and had tried the beta version for Vista. My experience with it was wonderful. Even though it was beta, I had no issues (that I noticed) running it on Vista.
I think I will go and try the release. Maybe even buy a license when I have money
