EXT3 Formatting

    How do I format a drive as EXT3?

    In Apple's Disk Utility I see options for Extended Filesystem 4 and Extended Filesystem. The manual does not seem to indicate how to select a particular flavor of EXT when formatting using the diskutil app in the terminal.
