Explore image cannot assign drive-letter

Using Ti8, have upgraded today, but still TI comes back with the message Cannot assign a driveletter for a partition.....
It takes long to decide there is an error. In the meanwhile I CAN explore the image by looking at the Windows folder, which opens with the next available drive-letter, irrespective of the letter you have given to TI.
Using a IIFreecom USB 40GB external drive
