Exclusion wild cards

    Hi All,

    Can someone clarify the use of wildcard exclusions where I want to either exclude just the folder contents, or also exclude all sub-folders.

    So example if I want to exclude the contents of c:\temp, but not subfolders:

    C:\temp\*.*

    But If I want to exclude also the subfolders?

    C:\temp\*

    This is specifically for the v3 client.

    Hi HunterNZ, both of the real-time wildcard exclusions you show below will do the same thing. They will both exclude all subfolders and files in the Temp folder. I've looked into it and I don't believe there is a way to do what you're trying to do with the real-time scanner.

    With the on-demand scanner it can be done, by clicking on the specific files and subfolders you want scanned. Here's a KB article on it, if you haven't seen it:
