    Hello,

I have Ewido free running now, after the trial of the full version expired, but was wondering why ewidoctrl.exe is still running in Windows Task Manager even though the trial expired. Everytime I restart and check WTM it is again listed there and using 2,184k of mem. Why is it still running in the free version of Ewido? Thanks.

    Hello nat57!

ewidoctrl.exe is ewido security suite control. It is a service that is required to run in order for Ewido to function properly.

    You can disable it

    start/control panel/administrative tools/services

Find 2 ewido services, right click them and choose STOP than right click them again and go to properties and select Start-up type: manual

It will not be active in processes and you will still be able to run it and use it!
