I am wondering, even though I am past the 14 day period, the ewido icon is still in the task bar with automatic updates, is this normal? Or is it just a glitch on my system?

They might have extended the trial since the app needs a bit more work.

My 14 day trial also ended. The update essentially removed the active guard components. The only option now is the automatic updates. You can remove the system tray icon like I did. Open to the main ewido screen. Go to the lower right and you should see remove active guard. Click on it and reboot. Icon should disappear. I prefer to update manually and it was causing a slowdown in shutdown for my system.
