Ewido Problem

    I started using the "Folding at Home" program. Links attached below for a more detailed explanation of what this program is.

    My Ewido would lock the entire computer when doing an Ewido memory scan requiring a reboot.

    The answer...

    Shut down the "Folding at Home" program before doing the memory scan. Problem solved. It took me a while to figure out that this program was the problem.


    By the way, I had emailed Ewido support and they were responsive to the problem. Because of the time difference responses were about 24 hours apart but they were readily working with me to solve the problem.

    Maybe this will help someone having the same problem.
