ewido anti-spyware 4.0.0.172 final is available now!

Somewhat inevitably, I got an email thisafternoon at 4.11pm ticket 2006071720000881 describing how to get the upgrade key: i'll try again tonight. In retrospect, I might have fallen over on the help pages, where I filled in the description of the problem and thought I'd sent it off... does it initially try and find a standard FAQ answer? Maybe I tried harder and actually sent the email to support this time? It seemed hard to get a response anyway, but i hope all is well now.

I've checked our support system all mails from you has been answered. Either you've installed a spam blocker and ewido got caught in there or your ISP Mailserver blocks our mails.

Is there still no newer release avaible as the 172 C ? Since weeks there's nothing changed. Is this true ?

The next release will probably be 4.1 in about 2 weeks. It will contain many bugfixes and also some improvements

 

Can we please have a 4.1 beta before it goes final so that any issues/bugs which may have been missed during internal testing can be fixed before it goes final ?

 

When will ewido now push out the new 4.1 ?

will we get it in an update for the pro version or will we have to install it seperately and if we have to install it can we just put it over the 4.0 version?

Theres no beta release yet for Ewido 4.1 on the AVG beta testers website as of today (25/09/2006).

To avoid disappointment, use this rule for project management or delivery schedules.

Move up to the next unit of time and multiply by 2.
So, if you think it will take 4 days, state 8 weeks
If you estimate 2 weeks tell everyone 4 months.
