    Hi

I have just downloaded Spywareblaster but before I hit the "Protect Against Checked Items!" button I need to know if it will affect Eudora which I run in sponsored mode.

As far as I know Eudors uses Cydoor for its adverts but I can't see that in the database. I can't afford for my email to be disabled.

Can anyone please give me some assurance that all will be well?

    Best wishes,

    Brian

    Hi Brian,

    Welcome at Wilders. :)

From first hand experience I can assure you that the ads will be displayed, and more importantly, Eudora will work fine as well. :)

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Hi Brian,

Eudora/Qualcomm have several times changed who they use for their "marketing" in sponsored mode -- last I looked, they were tied in with Hitbox, but I think they're in the process of changing that again.

Keep in mind that in a worst-case scenario, if they couldn't get ads through to you, your mail service wouldn't be jeopardized -- you'd simply drop back to Lite mode and lose some of Eudora's "bells and whistles", possibly things like the spell-checker etc.

    Best,
    Mike

Just to enforce the responses already posted I will also agree that spyblaster won't affect it. The only program I have used that did affect eudora is regseeker and all it did was reset eudora to where I had to put my registration number back in. ;)
