    Hmmm these politicians.
They don't have the common sense they were born with.
They need to read my post here and do some follow up research because all they are doing is attracting even more cyber attacks from actors who can spoof the origins of malware on their enemy states for the purpose that Europe might retaliate against them.

A cyber attack can be initiated by a nation state, activists, organised crime or a smart-ass with a bad attitude.

I can understand that if a country had its infrastructure crippled by a cyber attack, it could result in chaos, but to mitigate that is to have contingency plans and a plan to recover and reinstate the services - not a retaliation plan that involves killing people at random. Politicians who subscribe to declaring a cyber attack as an act of war are delusional.

A cyber war really has no peace plan as there is no one source with which to make peace. You can not keep the peace if you can not make peace. Soldiers fight hard wars and laws are for making and keeping the peace. Politicians should be drafting laws that mandate significant investment in securing all internet connected devices, corporate and government accountability for securing assets and severe penalties for those who violate or ignore them. Also laws that incarcerate the villains for a long time if they get caught. As for rogue nations, use the Hague for what it was intended.
