I open this thread for the request features:

GENERAL: network activity in the systray icon (like Kerio Personal Firewall or Zone Alarm)
GENERAL: option to disable (firewall/antivirus/antispam) directly in the systray icon (with right click)
FIREWALL: line color (red, white, green) for the out/in connections (like Kerio Personal Firewall)

Add: Ability to open ports in firewall's Automatic filtering mode.

Would love to run in Auto , but I can't share files (torrents).
Have to switch to Interactive mode which is a whole different world.

I totally agree with this because in Vista, dial up does not have any network
activity animated icon anymore, just static icon red or green if a connection
is open but no send or receive animation...

Another feature I would like to see is the ability not to start the firewall module
at all during start-up. Normally, I don't connect to the internet at Windows
start-up, and if I am not connected there is no point in running the firewall as it
will just waste CPU cycles for nothing. I suggest it should automatically launch
itself when it detects that there is an attempt by the dial-up or network
connection to connect to the ISP. Normally, my OF is disabled and launch by the
dialer I have, when I attempt to connect to the internet.
BTW... There's still a lot of people in this world who are still in dial-up
    connection.

    1. Ability to enable or disable a rule according to the time of day (e.g. only allow Windows Live Messenger access between 6pm and 9pm Monday to Friday). (This is possible in Outpost Pro).

    2. Ability to enable or disable a rule according to the currently logged in user.

Features I find necessary to add:
    • Leaktest protection and/or behavioral protection (registry control, injection monitoring, Integrity(DLL) control...)
Features I find not absolutely necessary but which would be nice to add :
    • AD blocker (for people using multiple browsers)
    • Ability to modify adresses entered (not only add/remove them) in the firewall rules
    • No more hard-coded rules (deactivable presets)

Show the temporary rules somewhere and allow them to be made permenent rules from there or at least if it was an accidental temporary deny to allow it instead of having to turn off the firewall to get the conncetion.

    Hi,

Anyone did any "deeper"/throughout scan attepmts?

    1. ESS going to have any remote connection to apply policys e.t.c.
    2. Use of AD group policys, for different configs -?
    3. The FW service, does it protect the system while starting up, lowlevel protection of communication layer?
    4. RightClick on "taskbar" icon, to disable/enable FW and Icon changing if there are a deeper/intrusion scann going on?
    5. Alert if the main services are closed down/ or an attempt is done?
    6. Change / add Ip's range for the rules.

    Regards / Matz

Another shout-out for this feature. It's been on the feature request list for a long, long time, well before 3.0 began development.

    Hi.

I`d suggest the ability to exclude files and folder from real time protection as in on demand scanning.

    Regards

A bubble to show definition date like 2.7 when you hover over symbol in systray.
