ESS not always asking for permission of outgoing connections...

Hi,

I was a user or Z*nealarm Pro which has a same style of interactive firewall like now in ESS.

I've set interactive mode to on and it asked me for new networks and some outgoing traffic. But I also had one application where the update-function did not brought up the windows to ask if I like to allow this connection. Instead the connection was denied automatically. I had to add a rule to get this working...

BTW...perfect Product...would love to buy the final version right now

Hi netsrac,

Some people had such a problem, which is discussed in this topic. From there, you'll see that there's a fix available from ESET if you PM a moderator, namely Marcos. This has fixed the problem I had with incoming connections, it's just a DLL you have to replace in ESS's folder. Maybe it will help you with your problem, worth giving it a try anyway.
