ess email scan

    i have just upgraded from many happy years with nodv2 to the
    ess v4, now im a little confused as the with nodv2 when a email came in i could see the icon scanning but i dont see this
    in ess v4, is it just scanning the attachment in the back ground,
    am i blind i cannot see a icon for attachment scanning.

    Hello drewm2,

    As long as you have your email client protection enabled, all of your e-mails are being scanned. This happens behind the scenes but you can look at the activity by performing the following:

    1) Open your ESET Smart Security Program and ensure you are in Advanced Mode (toggled by pressing Ctrl + M).

    2) Click on Protection status and choose Statistics.

    3) From the drop down menu located on the right, choose Email Client Protection and this will display a pie chart displaying information about your e-mails that have been scanned.

    thx Mathew but unfortunately v4 ess was really playing havoc with my system(sluggish) and i could not get the right click scan option to work even with the option ticked to enable the feature, so im now back to 2.7 all is good.
