Ess & archive scanning

    former nod 2.7 user switched to kis after 2.* got a little long in the tooth (malware mainly) have since evaluated ess @ each beta stage and id switch back except I’m having issues with a high spike in cpu use with archives & real-time protection, my system will slow to a crawl (10s) opening archives (rar) a problem I don’t have with kis is this a known problem or just my rig?

    Have you tried disabling Advanced heuristics, runtime packers and sfx archives in the real-time file system protection setup, one at a time, to see if it makes a difference? Note that emulation by advanced heuristics is a time consuming operation which may last up to a couple of seconds in the case of complex runtime archives.
