Post by Marcos at the Eset forum last Sunday:
    https://forum.eset.com/topic/11638-no-disable-computer-protection-option-in-quick-links/

    ==========

Interesting post by Peter Randziak at the Eset forum today about version 10.0.390 not yet giving an alert that there is a newer version (10.1.204):
    https://forum.eset.com/topic/11690-eset-windows-home-products-versions-101204-have-been-released/

    ==========

The following Eset site is still not giving the latest changelog for NOD32:
    https://www.eset.com/int/home/antivirus/download/
(you can see the changelog there by going to the advanced download option there)
The latest info there is still for version 10.0.390.0.

Guess I am waiting for this to get fixed before I install it.

    Me too, Trooper.

Whether Peter Randziak was talking about the same issue (that pause protection thing) or about other thing(s) is not clear; he didn't say which issue has to be fixed.

Agreed. I am gonna wait this out until we see an announcement from ESET.

I had version NOD32 10.1.204 only very shortly installed last week (I downloaded the full offline installer). At that time I noticed some thing similar as posted by Phoenix last Monday at the Eset forum:
    https://forum.eset.com/topic/11686-exclude-issue/
Let me try to describe it in my own words:
    I had NOD32 10.1.204 installed (over the top of 10.0.390.0) on Win7 64-bit.
In the main menu there is always the Update tab, and then one option to manually check for Virus signature database and one option to manually check for Product update.
It is that second option that didn't work as it has been doing in previous versions, like in case there is no newer version telling you that you are Up to date.
I suppose that that is what Phoenix posted there at the Eset forum.
Well, when I saw that at that moment on my machine and after having seen all kinds of other things like not yet updated changelog info at the download site and wrong links at the Eset forum, I knew enough: this version was not ready for prime time for whatever reason(s) and Eset needed to do some work. And I decided to put back a backup-image, and from that moment I'm back on version 10.0.390.0. I'll wait and see what will happen and decide from there.

Version 10.1.204 is having "issues." I would delay upgrading to it until Eset straightens things out.

Sounds good. I would rather wait it out for sure.

Version 10.0.390.0 is working well for me except I have the same issue I have had for a long time with Eset. If I try to set the firewall to Interactive Mode then I get a UAC prompt from Windows every time Eset Firewall alerts me to Internet traffic. I have the same problem with Windows 7, and 10. It sometimes causes Eset to give me error messages, and even crash. I don't remember what process crashed since it has been a while, and I have not been using Interactive mode much lately. I think it may have been the UI.

I'm using a full Admin account so this should not be the case. I have to disable the Eset setting that requires full administrator rights for limited administrator account. I'm using a full administrator account so this should be a bug with Eset. I should not be prompted by UAC each time Eset Firewall alerts me in Interactive mode. I experienced the exact same thing on 4 other machines when using a full Administrator Account. This can be really annoying for a user that does not know that they have to disable require full Administrator rights for limited administrator accounts. I'm not sure what the security impact of disabling this setting is.

That's strange. The setting normally only affects changes to Eset GUI settings. Check your Win firewall settings and see if outbound monitoring is enabled.

I have never run as a full admin but only as a limited admin. As an alternative, you could just password protect the Eset GUI and disable the full admin option.

I just looked again at that site https://www.eset.com/int/home/antivirus/download/ for NOD32.
It is now giving the changelog:

I'm glad to see that there is now a changelog there! The wording is a bit different though compared to what Kent posted in the original post (at the start of this thread).

PS: I have not yet got a notification from my NOD32 that there is a new version, so I will wait; no reason to hurry.

On 18 April in reply # 6 I quoted a posting by Peter Randziak at the Eset forum about version 10.0.390 not yet giving an alert that there is a newer version (10.1.204):
    https://forum.eset.com/topic/11690-eset-windows-home-products-versions-101204-have-been-released/

I noticed that Peter Randziak posted last Friday in that same thread:

So, a bit more patience is needed. That's OK, I would think.

PS: Whether that "pause protection" option will also be fixed by then, I don't know.

It is about two weeks ago that Peter Randziak posted at the Eset forum that "the release for automatic updates in about 2 weeks from now" would come. So I was wondering about it.
I would like to thank itman for raising the question again at the Eset forum (thank you, itman!) yesterday (or today, depending on your timezone), asking whether it is available through Eset update feature.

Maybe there will come a new version 10.1.210 in the coming week.
See this thread at the Eset forum in which Marcos replied.
In that thread version number 10.1.210.2 is mentioned.
Is it only for Russian language? Somehow I seem to remember that the last digit in a version number (that .2 in this case) is for different languages, but maybe my memory is failing me now.
    Let's wait and see.

Forgive me but there are still wrong links at the announcement at the Eset forum.
    Look at https://forum.eset.com/topic/12090-eset-windows-home-products-versions-101210-have-been-released/

    Eset_2017-05-26_01.png

The first link there is https://forum.eset.com/kb2476/
    It should be https://support.eset.com/kb2476/

The second link there is https://forum.eset.com/kb3733/
    It should be https://support.eset.com/kb3733/

Maybe it is some automatical process (script, or whatever) that is causing this; if so, a little change is needed in that process.

Thanks Kent and FanJ. I updated using Product Update. The new version not yet available under
"Advanced Download" on Eset website. Context menu still missing "Pause Protection". I don't see this under "known issues".
