eset smart security: "Error Communicating with Kernel"

    The other day I turn my computer and a pop-up show up about a new version for ESET Smart Security 5 and I went ahead and upgraded.

    Now every time I try to open ESET Smart Security it says "Error Communicating with Kernel". ESET is not running at all so I'm completely expose and I'm not happy about how this upgrade ruin my perfectly working ESET version 4.

    Does the problem persist after a computer restart? If it does, please uninstall ESS completely and download the latest ESS v4 or v5 from ESET's website and install it.
