    Hi...

I have the antispam function unchecked, yet ESS Beta is still active in my Outlook 2007. If it's a plug-in, I can't find any way to uninstall or deactivate it. The toolbar is there, too, and though most of the functions are grayed out, it is still checking emails and marking each one at the bottom.

Suggestions as to how I can deactivate antispam?

BTW - running Windows XP Home.

    Thanks!

    Andy

    Hi Andy

I don't believe that's the AntiSpam module doing that, ESS scans ALL email for virus and other exploits too, and not just Spam. Eset marks all scanned emails on the bottom, but that can be unchecked if you want, in the Advanced setup.
The antispam module is probably disabled as you wished, but the email scanner will always be working on other possible virus stuff, unless you don't want that either. That can also be disabled in the Advanced Setup tree under Email Protection.

    Hi...

Thanks for the reply, and I understand everything you are saying except why emails are still scanned even though I have antispam disabled. Makes no sense to me.

To be honest, it's not a big deal to have it on, BUT as at least one other person had mentioned in another post, I keep getting "ESET OUT OF RESOURCES" error messages. This is the biggest reason I'm trying to disable this.

Any thoughts on how to fix this issue?

    Thanks!

    Andy
