Eset Service has stopped working...

    Hello,

    I used to keep getting error on start-up "Eset Service has stopped working and needs to close" and lately the "ekern.exe" causes error in the background on start-up and vista freezes...

    Any suggestion to help is welcome.

    First of all, try installing the latest version of ESS 4.0.467 to see if it makes a difference.

    Should the problem persist, create a process dump of ekrn.exe before you close that Dr Watson window by opening Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del), right-clicking ekrn.exe and selecting "Create Dump File". The process dump will be created in the Users folder (the full path will be displayed). Let me know when you have the dump ready.
