Hi. I'm having the same problem o lot of users has experienced since installations of Vista Sp2 and Nod4.0. (Maximum security not ensured... etc) https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=241025&page=5

However, im using Vista Sp1 and NOD32 3.0, but i have the EXACT very same problem. Is there any help avaliable for me?

I tried running 4.0 instead but the same problem is there. Also, the fix for v4.0 seems to be out there, but you must download it through the program, and that didnt work for me. Why not just release the patch on the web, so users who cannot download it through the program also can get it?

I've seriously considered changing anitivirus program since i got Vista, but then again i think NOD32 is the best by far so im giving this a shot before i do so.

    All help is appreciated.

    thanks, Olof

Are you sure it isn't just telling you that you need to install windows updates?

Yes, I'm sure - it tells me to reinstall NOD because maximum security is not ensured.

    Hello olof_n,

What is the rest of the error? Maximum protection is not ensured is just the header to let you know that there is a problem, but there is more detailed information after that to let you know exactly what the problem is.

Have you tried uninstalling and installing version 4?

Try uninstalling and then going through the manual uninstall steps in the Knowledgebase to remove any leftover traces and then either reinstall v3 or v4.

I'd suggest creating a log from SysInspector and checking if the eamon driver is loaded. If not, go to the Device manager, enable display of non PnP or hidden devices and try to start it manually. What error do you get?
