    Issue

ESET Remote Administrator Console showing that one of the client machines Antivirus protection is disabled.

    Steps taken to resolve issue:

    1. Ran ESET uninstaller tool in Safe Mode
    2. Cleaned the registry of any instance of ESET
    3. Deleted any ESET files
    4. Reinstalled ESET through a push install from the Remote Administrator Console

The installation completed successfully without any issues on the client machine. The next day the machine comes back with an error message of Antivirus protection is disabled.

    Please help.

    Thanks.

Most likely the engine got corrupted for some reason (e.g. due to a disk error or the system improperly shut down). Please scan the disk for errors first. If you install ESET locally and restart the computer several times, does the error occur?

    Thanks for the reply.

The issue still persists after performing a scan disk on the computer and a fresh push install of ESET from the ESET Remote Administrator Console.

The workstation was problem free for 2 days and then it gets the same error message of Antivirus protection is disabled.

    Any additional thoughts?

    Thank you

    Hello Ging W,

At first I would try another installation after uninstallation by ESETUninstaller in a safe mode.

In case it wouldn't help please submit a ticket to your local ESET Support with SysInspector log enclosed.

In case of "Virus scanner initialization failed" please provide them with processmonitor log capturing events in the system during the issue occurrence. (In your case you would need log from the boottime)

In case of "Error allocating memory" they could provide you with special dll, which is allocating memory in a different way.

    Thank you.

How much RAM is installed on the computer where "Error allocating memory" is reported? As for the error "Virus Scanner Initalization Failed", we'll need a Process Monitor log from a boot so I'd suggest contacting Customer care to troubleshoot it further.
