ESET NOD32 3.0 versus NOD32 version 2.7

I have 3 questions regarding the two anti-virus ONLY products:

1) Which is better for WinXP......ESET NOD32 3.0 or NOD 32 version 2.7? I'd like to know which one is better (safer) AFTER BlackSpear's custom settings have been fully applied.

2a) Also, regarding BlackSpear's settings, do such settings exist for ESET NOD32 3.0 like they did for NOD32 version 2.7? I found this

2b) Is this the equivalent of his thread for NOD32 version 2.7? I don't see things like AMON setup customization, EMON setup customization, etc. after glancing through the ESET NOD32 3.0 thread. I could manually adjust these in NOD32 version 2.7.

3) How long before one will be forced to remove NOD 32 version 2.7 and install ESET NOD32 3.0?

2.Yes, that thread customizes version 3. Version 3 doesn't
have AMON, EMON, IMON, etc. That's why you don't see it in thread.
